German company Memminger Feine-Cabrios has been restoring Volkswagen Beetles for over 20 years, and now they’ve developed a remod Beetle concept.
With the Roadster 2.7, Memminger has made the dream of creating in-house vehicles come true. Founder Georg Memminger teamed up with designer Philipp Eberl for this special project. The 2.7 in the name represents the 2.7-litre four-cylinder delivering 210 hp, based on the Type 4 engine found in the VW 411 and 412. The engine is mid-mounted on a standard length of Beetle wheelbase at 2,444 mm. Top speed is expected to be over 200 km/h.
The open two-seater is still just a concept, but if it generates enough interest, Memminger is prepared to launch it into a small production with a maximum of 20 examples.
