The Power of the Written Word and Technology
Bond - The Robot that Mimics Your Handwriting

Although it only takes the computer printer a few seconds to copy a piece of text and print it out for unlimited amount of times, the texture that it gives is incomparable to traditional ink handwriting; especially when it comes to the production of holiday greeting cards and invitations as it is especially important for them to reveal a sense of warmth and elegance. But when a large quantity is needed, quality and speed both becomes a constraint. Bond, an innovation and technology team from New York has invented a robot which mimics the handwriting style of a human being so it can provide writing services for us.

Before purchasing Bond’s service, customers need to upload his or her handwriting samples and content to its analysis software, where the robot will learn the style of the font including its level of tilt and spacing. Then, customers can choose their favorite font, the ink, the pen model, and even the design of the letter paper or card in order to produce a highly personalized writing document. Other than that, the customers can also go directly to their headquarters in New York to see a handwriting expert analyze and tweak the writing style, making the result difficult to be distinguished by the naked eye. There are currently 11 robots at work right now, which completes a total of 500 to 700 cards in 10 hours and are sent out within 48 hours of its completion.
