The Monocle Travel Guide to Hong Kong
The globetrotter’s guide to the unique Asian metropolis.

Hong Kong, as both locals and visitors will attest, is a destination that’s driven by diversity. Its vistas span the spectrum from futuristic office towers to ancient temples, and there’s a wealth of cultural attraction for just about every taste. The unique city is also the latest place covered by Monocle in its Travel Guide series, which reveals the globetrotting publication’s favourite spots in each city it covers, from the ideal route for an early-morning run and best dining spots, to the top independent retailers and street food stalls.

Published by Gestalten, the Hong Kong guide comes in at 148 pages, is printed on great stock and has a hardback cover. More importantly, this edition was compiled by Monocle’s Hong Kong team, which means that the content is relevant and up-to-date, and takes in “all the speed and dynamism of this pulsating commercial hub,” while also leading the reader to hidden gems and secret locations. To commemorate the release of the travel guide, Monocle also produced a short video about the one-of-a-kind city many of us call home.
