The Many Styles of Automobile
Dorotheum auction at Classic Expo Salzburg

In the upcoming Classic Expo Salzburg happening on 18 to 20 October, Austrian auction house Dorotheum will be hosting a classic car auction with 66 lots and a wide range of interesting models over almost a century of the automobile history.

The auction doesn’t focus on a particular period or nature and is filled with some of the most sought after models. There is a 1983 Lancia 037 Evo 2 upgraded for Group B rally, verified by the many buttons on the dashboard. For an all-time classic, you can go for the matching-numbers 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’ dressed in bright red, or the slightly more subtle 1963 Maserati 3500 GTI Sebring Series 1. The 1922 Gräf & Stift VK 7/20 hp is one of the few existing examples on the series, while model classics such as Ferrari F40 also take up some of the lots. Even the two motorcycles fall on extreme styles, one is a 1951 Vespa and the other a 1993 Harley Davidson customised with plenty of skulls.

The auction will be held on 19 October at Messezentrum Salzburg and accepting online bidding. Check out Dorotheum’s website for a full listing.
