The “Bruce & Denny Show” of 1967—1970 saw unprecedented domination in the infamous Can-Am championship – the unrestricted race class that was the birthplace of cutting-edge technology and some of the most powerful race cars in history. Whilst having never raced in the Group 5 championship, the striking McLaren orange M6A that debuted in the 1967 Can-Am season brought a string of successes and gave birth to the legend of the fledging team piloted by New Zealander Bruce McLaren – a true outsider, without the backing nor budget of a manufacturer. 46 years after his tragic passing in a testing accident, we celebrate Bruce’s dream of building a closed cockpit racer at the very same circuit through Herr Thomas Studer’s magnificent M6B/GT.

The McLaren M6GT – the forgotten outsider that almost never was.

Dedicated to the memory of Bruce Leslie McLaren, the speedy kiwi. August 30, 1937—June 2, 1970.
