Store At Your Door
Wheelys Tests 24/7 Moby Mart in China

Swedish bicycle cafe startup Wheelys is launching Moby Mart, a 24/7 mobility grocery store with China’s Hefei University and Himalafy, a company with technology for unstaffed stores. The Moby Mart is a self-driving kiosk that delivers right to your door. Using Moby Mart is simple; just locate the nearest store through the app, order, and the store then comes to you. Once you’re authenticated through the app, you enter and pick up products for immediate consumption, such as milk, lunch, or medicine. You then pay through the self-checkout service. If you are looking for tech or utility goods like computers or light bulbs, you can order it in advance and then step into your nearest Moby Mart to take it home.

The Moby Mart runs on electricity supplied through solar panels, making Moby the most environmentally friendly mobile store in the marketplace. Additionally, with its integrated air purifier, the W247 also cleans up the surrounding area as it roams from stop to stop.

The concept is currently beta testing in Shanghai.
