Famed artisanal leather label Hender Scheme has reimagined some of the world’s most iconic sneakers, such as the Reebok Pump Fury and Nike Air Jordans with their exquisite leather craftsmanship. Now Hender Scheme is officially teaming up with adidas Originals for a collection titled “adidas Originals by Hender Scheme”, a tribute to three iconic shoes created by the German sportswear giant.

The collection consists of three modified versions of the NMD_R1, MicroPacer and Superstar. They are now handmade in the finest goat and cow leathers, turning each shoe from a sportswear essential to a piece of refined luxury. The collection also sees the NMD R1 silhouette remove its usual BOOST midsole while the MicroPacer comes without its pedometer. All the three profiles come in Hender Scheme’s iconic pastel tanned leather upper that will age naturally and beautifully as time passes, giving the shoes a unique personalised look. Each shoe is handmade in Hender Scheme’s Tokyo design studio and will be available in only 300 pairs each.

Look for the collection to hit select adidas Originals’ stockist worldwide on September 2.
