"VINTAGE NASA PHOTOGRAPHS"

If you grew up in the seventies, you experienced the golden age of aerospace. As a youngster, you probably collected several NASA posters and publicity prints too. These old prints often depicted images of the vast universe; a rocket ready to launch; astronauts walking on the moon’s surface, or satellites floating in outer space. These space-age artefacts stoked the public’s enthusiasm for space exploration.

In recent years, NASA has been actively promoting their Mission to Mars project. This has rekindled the public’s passion for aerospace, and publishers have responded with different retro reprint projects such as the “NASA Graphics Standards Manual” and “Apollo 11 Flight Plan”, which we featured recently. Now comes “VINTAGE NASA PHOTOGRAPHS” a new department opened this month at London’s Breese Little Gallery dedicated exclusively to the exhibition and auction of original NASA prints. According to Henry Little, founder of “VINTAGE NASA PHOTOGRAPHS”, these NASA originals from the 60s and the 70s were provided by individuals with a close connection to NASA or suppliers to NASA programs. Included with the purchase of these prints, “VINTAGE NASA PHOTOGRAPHS” also provides separate serial numbers for each print to ensure the value of the collection. These prints offer a perfect starting point for a fresh appreciation of the golden age of aerospace.
