Sonic Sculpture In Aluminium
Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition

Bang & Olufsen has never been shy about pushing boundaries. Revealed as part of the brand’s 100-year anniversary, the new Beolab 90 Titan Edition feels like a definitive statement, marking a decade since the original Beolab 90 redefined what a flagship loudspeaker could be.

Today, the Beolab 90 is elevated through B&O’s exclusive Atelier service. Each speaker in the Titan Edition stands like a futuristic sculpture with no front cover, its 65 kg aluminium body shaped, sandblasted, and finished by hand. Rather than polishing away every imperfection, B&O has chosen to reveal the material’s natural character, using fine particles of crushed volcanic rock to create a distinctive raw texture. This surface contrasts with the mirror-polished base, giving the tower an almost floating appearance.

The top faceplate alone requires 12 hours of precision milling from a solid block of aluminium. Grooved rings surround each driver like rippling sound waves, while custom fasteners and light-pierced apertures reveal details that reward close inspection. Even the inscriptions are considered, with laser-engraved tributes to B&O’s birth year, 1925, on the fasteners and markings around the drivers that highlight the acoustic innovations.

Nothing has changed in terms of technical performance. Delivering no less than 8,200 watts per speaker, the Titan Edition houses 18 bespoke drivers powered by dedicated amplifiers and advanced DSP architecture, just like the original Beolab 90. Its beam-forming technology remains one of the most sophisticated acoustic systems ever created, shaping sound to the room and the listener with remarkable precision.

Bang & Olufsen will unveil four additional editions of the Beolab 90 in the coming months, each offering a new interpretation for collectors and audiophiles.
