“Softly” reinterpreting their classics
INSTALLATION 「SONY」

To celebrate for Sony brand’s 70th anniversary, as well as the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Sony Building in Ginza, Sony is hosting the INSTALLATION SONY exhibition in their THE PARK-ING concept store in their Ginza headquarters. Sony has decided to showcase their iconic heritage products in a unique way. For example, they have transformed their monitor, the PROFEEL PRO KX-21HVIS, and Japan’s first tape recorder, the G model, created when Sony was still known as “Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo,” into 1:1 soft cushions. They have also transformed their classic Walkman TSP-L2, DAT Walkman TCD-D3, Walkman TCD-5PRO tape player, and the Sony disk player into storage bags. Sony’s playful reinterpretation their classics at the INSTALLATION SONY exhibition is open from now until the 2nd of June; these products will be available for sale in late July.
