Rezvani Beast Alpha

California-based automaker Rezvani is famous for its niche designs. Earlier this year it was reported that it had two new models on the way, and one of them was recently released just in time for the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Beast Alpha is based on the signature Rezvani design but has been tweaked while maintaining performance.

The most obvious difference between Beast Alpha and the original roadster Beast is of course the hard top. The removable targa-style top allows drivers to experience occasional open-air driving while keeping it practical for daily use. The Beast Alpha uses a powerful 2.4-litre Honda engine that has been further developed by the Rezvani team and is equipped with an ultra-efficient turbocharger that pushes power out to 500hp. The car is expected to reach 100 km from standstill in around 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of over 280 km/h.

Another cool new feature is the trademarked SideWinder doors that pop out and slide forward. The unique design feature is not just for looks, as they also provide much more room for getting in and out of the car. The body is entirely made of carbon fibre, which explains the car’s light weight at only 1,950 pounds. At a starting price of US$200,000, it is now available for order with custom configuration options selectable via the official website.
