When Tattoos Meet Leather
Scott Campbell × Berluti 2016 A/W Collection

Italian luxury shoemaker Berluti held a press preview at Parkview Art Hong Kong earlier this month, showcasing its offerings for the 2016 autumn/winter collection.

Berluti’s new collection takes inspiration from the brand’s ex-artistic director Alessandro Sartoria trip to Marfa, Texas, and its incredible museum in the Texan desert. The trip not only resulted in a minimalistic and casual collection, but also a collaboration with Brooklyn-based tattoo artist Scott Campbell, who created five original graphic designs in the form of geometric patterns and an abstract snake. These patterns are etched or stitched by hand into Berluti’s signature Venezia and Patinas leather to create shoes and bags, as well as jackets and blazers by the in-house tattoo artists and artisans at Berluti’s Ferrara workshop and are examples of how fashion and art blend seamlessly.

Look for the collection soon available at Berluti’s stores worldwide.
