Gran Turismo Sport release date confirmed

Gran Turismo Sport is one of those games that enthusiasts have been waiting for, probably since last year, and some people may have it pre-ordered already. Now the wait is almost over, as creator Kazunori Yamauchi has announced that the game will be released in North America and Asia on October 17th, and the following day in Europe.

Described by PlayStation as the “next iteration of the legendary racing simulator”, we can expect an unrivalled experience of graphics, sound, and physics simulation. The game has completed the Closed Beta phase and is in the final stages of polishing just before the launch. Information on features such as campaign mode, various creative tools, cars and tracks will be revealed gradually towards the launch.

The game is available for pre-order in digital and physical formats and in standard and limited editions. All initial lot features early access to a 3-car pack as DLC. The limited edition comes with additional DLC including one million in-game currency, early access to 8 cars, PS4 avatars, livery sticker pack and a special in-game chromed helmet. There is also the Collector’s Edition which includes a special designed 1/43 scale die-cast model of the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo on top of the limited edition.
