In time for the festive season there’ll be more gatherings and celebrations. For our furry friends at home, the noise from partying or the sound of fireworks could be nerve-racking for them, which causes distress to owners too. Ford has conceived a noise-cancelling kennel concept incorporating technology similar to that found in cars and headphones, offering a calm living pad for our best friends.
Built with high-density cork, the advanced doghouse has microphones inside for detecting noise such as fireworks. The built-in audio system then emits opposing frequencies for cancelling out the noise, or at least reducing it significantly and taking the stress away for the pet. While this noise-cancelling doghouse is just a prototype for now and there’s no solid plan for its release, this is just the very first idea under the Interventions initiatives, a series which Ford applies automotive knowledge to help solve everyday problems.
