The annual Tour Auto Optic 2000 classic car event occurs in Paris in late April. The spectacular scenery along the tour route is always a highly anticipated aspect of the meeting and this year, 230 entrants will drive their way through Brittany, taking in the fantastic views of the fields and coastal roads as they go. The event covers more than 2,000 km while visiting some of France’s most romantic cities, ending with the finish line in Biarritz on the Sunday night. It’s debatable as to which element of the tour most defines the “romance of the road”; the breathtaking scenery of the route or being in the presence of so much automotive beauty in one place, at one time.
