Kohei Kawamura who has long lived in Tokyo started his business with the concept of recycling. Producing clothing by refurbishing vintage military uniforms, this slowly became the beginning for his brand KLASICA. Having released his first seasonal collection back in 2004, he display strong abilities in remodelling apparels. He has a rich sense of imagination towards beautiful forms as he always foresee how the clothing will end up after years of wearing when he is to produce a new piece. This is why he emphasize on the choice of material and only use what is naturally made.

With no particular format in dictating this season’s design, ideas such as exoticness, movie scenes and old memories all took turns in inspiring him. Taking “North Marine Drive” as this Spring Summer 2015’s primary theme, lightweight linen in a soft grayish hue is used as the main material. This “Josef” waistcoat here which has a hollow back is tailored with three brass buckles for connecting the straps to the middle, so that the fit can be freely adjusted. An item suitable for matching with casual or formal wear, he is surely an expert in creating layers within his designs.
