Ares Project Panther

Ares Design from Modena is a modern day coachbuilder founded by former Lotus CEO Dany Bahar. Its latest project, among the usual upgrades and bodykits, is to develop a modern interpretation of the legendary De Tomaso Pantera, first produced in 1971.

This is Ares’ first project to completely designed, engineered and built in the new factory at Modena. The bodywork is heavily inspired by the historic model, featuring original elements such as pop-up headlights, while modern features are also added including LED daytime running lights, widened wheel arches and handle-free doors.

Underneath the bodywork you’ll find a 2017 Lamborghini Huracan chassis, with 5.2-litre V10 engine, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive system. Project Panther is currently undergoing the final stages of development. Only very limited numbers will be built and delivery can be expected in the second half of 2018.
