Return of a classic
Atari Ataribox

Classic game company Atari has uploaded a 20-second teaser clip featuring its new home games console the Ataribox. Not much information was revealed at the time of initial release but it was more than enough to keep people talking. Atari released further details more recently with images, showing the Ataribox will be available in two finishes. The first one is based on the classic Atari 2600 released 40 years ago, a clear nostalgic choice for older gamers. It features a wood panel on black body and a futuristic white logo. The other one looks more modern and has a black and red finish. The console features four USB ports, a HDMI port, a LAN port and a SD card port and shares similar technical specifications to a gaming PC.

More information on the Ataribox, including full specifications, games info, pricing and a release date is expected soon. Playing old classic games on Ataribox shouldn’t be a problem, but gamers will probably expect a little more than that.
