Retro Looking EV
Vanderhall Edison

Boutique three-wheeler maker Vanderhall build street-legal vintage looking racers out of its Utah headquarters. The latest addition was just unveiled at the 2017 Progressive International Motor Cycle Show in Long Beach, California. Named Edison, the fully electric vehicle pays tribute to another electric car, the one that was developed by Thomas Edison and Henry Ford a century ago.

The three-wheeler is built with an aluminium mono frame and ABS composite body. Power comes from the twin electric motors and a 30 kWh lithium battery, generating 180 hp. Vanderhall claims that the Edison can accelerate to 96 km/h in 4 seconds, while the range of each charge is 322 km.

While most electric vehicles tend to go for the futuristic look, it is refreshing to see the Vanderhall Edison taking an different direction. The three-wheeler can be reserved now and will be available in Q2 of 2018. With a starting price of around US$ 35,000, this could be a good opportunity to own an interesting and affordable electric vehicle.
