New Balance 327 second drop

New Balance launched the well-received 327 running shoe earlier this year, and now, the New England company is releasing more colourways for this 1970s-inspired runner.

The inspiration for the 327 came from a few classic seventies running shoes. The most important is the original 320, the first pair of New Balance shoes to carry the big N logo, introduced in 1976. This is a shoe that won the New York Marathon and had a cult following among elite runners for many years. The next year saw the new favourite 355 hitting the market, easily recognised by its studded gum sole that offers great stability on trails. Then there’s the SuperComp, also released in 1977 featuring a lightweight, versatile upper. All these star qualities are combined in the new 327.

The second drop for Hong Kong includes four colourways, two of which share the same split-tone style released earlier in the year, and now come in eye-catching blue/yellow and orange separately. The orange/grey combo is probably the most retro-looking colourway, while the women’s style is offered in a palette of blues.

For those who are interested in the new 327, make sure you register for the raffle on New Balance HK’s official website from 3:00 pm on June 3, to 3:00 pm on June 5. Raffle results will be announced on June 8 and the lucky sneakers enthusiasts must then complete their purchase via email link before 11:59 pm on June 11.
