Retro 50’s Style
Ares Design Project Wami inspired by Maserati 2000 Spyder

Italian tuning company Ares Design has been pretty active in recent months, regularly bringing us limited series of custom-made cars. After Project Pony inspired by Ferrari 412, the company has unveiled initial renderings of a brand new concept.

Described as “one of the most enticing Roadsters ever made”, Project Wami draws inspiration from the Frua-bodied Maseratis from the 1950’s including the 2000 Spyder. Ares has referenced the side exit exhausts, chromed front and rear bumper over riders and wire wheels from the retro style, and intends to construct the muscular body using a mix of hand crafted aluminium and carbon fibre. The interior continues with a simple metal dashboard as seen in the past, while overall it is adorned with fine Italian leather, milled aluminium and chrome detailing.

Ares has not revealed any technical details or timeline of the project, but just these renderings are already promising enough to keep us interested.
