Timberland Madbury

Consumers these days — especially the younger generations — are becoming more conscious of how their favourite brands are addressing various environmental and social issues. Outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland is the latest to join this trend, with its new collection including a brand-new footwear style that promotes a greener future.

The Madbury sneaker boot draws inspiration from the classic Timberland 6-inch mid-top boot and is designed for traversing both city streets and country trails. The lightweight EVA midsole and the rugged outsole pattern provide walking comfort and all-terrain traction, while Timberland’s iconic “tree” branding sits front and centre.

Being environmentally-conscious is key for these new leather hiking boots. The upper is made with Better Leather sourced from a tannery rated silver by the Leather Working Group, ensuring responsible energy use, water treatment, and waste management during the production of the leather. Another upper, as well as the lining material, is made from Timberland’s proprietary ReBOTL fabric – at least 50% of this is made from recycled PET plastic bottles, an initiative that helps reduce the environmental impact of various production processes.

Along with the various Madbury colourways comes a capsule collection of outdoor-inspired clothing including jackets, hoodies, tees, cargo shorts, and pants. Highlights include the SMU Workwear Coach Jacket in bright orange and the water-repellent Camo Archive Mountain Trail Jacket, both striking the perfect balance of style and functionality.
