French fashion label Lacoste believes the power of fashion doesn’t stop at enhancing our confidence and our self-esteem, it can also help to raise awareness for conservation programs. Lacoste has joined forces with The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to create a limited-edition polo collection dubbed “Save Our Species”.

Their classic white polos swap out the iconic crocodile logo for ten of the world’s most endangered animals including the Vaquita dolphin, Burmese roofed turtle, Northern sportive lemur, Javan rhino, Cao-vit gibbon, Kakapo parrot, California condor, the Saola, Sumatran tiger, and the Anegada ground iguana. The number of polos produced (1,775 total) for each series corresponds to that species remaining population in the wild.

All profits from the collection will be contributed to IUCN to help the fight for wildlife conservation worldwide. Priced at $185 each, the collection was launched during Lacoste’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week on 1 March 2018 and sold out immediately.
