Relax with Luxe Touches
Alexander Wang for Poltrona Frau

As the creative director of both French fashion house Balenciaga and his eponymous label, Alexander Wang has cultivated a visual aesthetic that’s modern, luxurious and street-ready. Most recently, the American designer extended his signature look to a trio of pieces with the Italian label Poltrona Frau, each one shaded in Wang’s favorite color, black. “Over the last 10 years, furniture is where my interest has really evolved,” the 30-year-old designer explained the Wall Street Journal. “When I started working in fashion, I always had an idea of an environment in my head, but how to actualize it, and what the references meant, that’s new.”

Set to launch in February, the covetable capsule includes a beanbag chair with brass feet and black shearling or black leather, as well as an accompanying black wrapped mini bar cabinet that contains jagged brass shelves. And, as is usually the case with Wang’s clothing, each piece combines relaxed, casual elements – in this case, the inclusion of beanbag chairs — with luxe touches, resulting in a collaboration that genuinely reflects the designer’s tastes and character.
