Singapore Grand Prix Circuit in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

The next instalment of the popular first-person shooter Call of Duty will incorporate the Singapore Grand Prix circuit in its gaming world.

Infinity Ward, the developer behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, shared a video on Twitter announcing that the Marina Bay Grand Prix circuit will be playable in the upcoming game as part of the multiplayer open beta. Featured as a 6v6 map, the circuit is recreated in stunning detail as shown in the fly-through video below. While it doesn’t seem to have involved any of the official F1 racing teams, the familiar night view of the city’s skyline and giant Ferris wheel, as well as different parts of the track’s permanent pits complex, is all here. Part of the track seems to be on fire, so it will be interesting to see how the single player storyline weaves its narrative.

Users who pre-order the game for PlayStation will be able to gain early access to the open beta as soon as 16 September. It will then be open to players pre-ordering other versions soon after. The map will also be available in the official release scheduled for 28 October.
