On the weekend of 17-18 November, the annual Suzuka Sound of Engine will take place on the iconic Suzuka Circuit in Japan to celebrate all things related to motorsports. The programmes include demonstration runs and displays of different groups of race cars such as Formula 1 and Group C, as well as exhibition of valuable classic cars and motorcycles and the Team Taisan auction.

Team Taisan is a private racing team from Japan established in 1983. Over the years, team owner and director Yasunori Chiba has been heavily involved in the business and is seen as a figurehead in the racing field. The Team Taisan auction is a tribute to Chiba’s devotion on motorsports, featuring 10 race cars as well as other race car parts, engines and Team Taisan related items. Not only ex-Team Taisan racers, such as the street legal 1988 Taisan Star Card F40 modified from a Ferrari F40 and the 1991 STP Taisan GT-R based on the Nissan Skyline GT-R, are included in the auction, you can also find famous classics like the 1924 Bentley Speed 3.0, as well as replicas such as the 1964 D-Type reproduction by Reynard and the 2001 Bentley EXP Speed 8 replica.
