After Takahiro Miyashita announced he would leave his highly regarded label Number (N)ine in 2009, he actually spent another year to restructure himself before he introduced a new label called “The SoloIst”. With “The SoloIst”, Miyashita further incorporates the elements of traditional american culture, music and style to his designs, which also exhibits the more progressive and intricate side of himself as a designer. Shown here are the vest and pants from its Spring/Summer 2015 collection. They are both constructed from premium silk and cotton dyed with indigo, giving a rough-textured look to the designs and also showcased the signature touch of Miyashita.
