Lister Thunder

Lister is almost the official synonym for modified Jaguars. The British manufacturer might have kept a fairly low profile in recent years, with the last big news being the Lister Storm, fitted with Jaguar’s 7.0-litre V-12 engine, and its successful run in the British GT Championship of late 1990s and early 2000s. Now, finally, Lister is back with its latest model, the Thunder, which was recently announced causing 22 out of the 99 limited examples to be snapped up within 24 hours.

The Thunder is based on the Jaguar F-Type, with the original supercharged 5.0-litre V8 boosted up to 666 hp, over 90 hp more than the stock engine. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 335 km/h. Exhaust and suspension upgrades as well as bespoke carbon fibre parts, paintwork and interior are all part of the package. For example, the Nappa leather for the interior is available in 36 colours and paired with contrasting stitches. All work will be completed in Lister’s factory in Cambridge, UK.

The Thunder will be unveiled to the public at the Historic Motorsport International in London on 15 February.
