Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT

Yachts are a staple part of the more luxurious side of life, but that doesn’t mean other watercraft should be ruled out when it comes to uniqueness and sophistication — especially when they’re powered by a powerful V8 engine. Norwegian boat builder Kurt Strand of Strand Craft has come up with a personal watercraft concept named the ‘V8 Daytona GT’, a project that has taken over five years of development and testing.

Marrying power and speed with elegance, the highlight of the Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT is of course the supercharged 6.2L aluminium V8 engine. Unfortunately, no technical specifications of the engine are provided, and the company just mentions the jet ski will be “high performance”. With that said, the capacity listed means one can safely assume a GM LSX or similar engine will be used.

We do know that the V8 Daytona GT measures 5.08 m in length, 1.5 m in width, and 1.33 m in height, and can be upgraded to feature a carbon fibre body. With a 15-inch LED touch screen, all engine functions can be monitored via a user-friendly interface. Other useful features include storage box in the front, cooler box under the seat for champagne and drinks, and a premium sound system, while plenty of upgrades such as custom body wraps, wood details, GPS navigation, an underwater camera, and a shock absorbing seat can be added to the standard set up.
