Qoros Model K-EV Concept

The demand for electric vehicles is only increasing and as the market matures, we see more and more automakers entering with sophisticated products. Chinese automaker Qoros has just debuted its all-electric concept car Model K-EV – a luxury sedan – at Auto Shanghai 2017.

Developed in cooperation with Koenigsegg, Qoros Model K-EV features an individually powered all-wheel powertrain with 800-volt architecture that shares the same technology found in Koenigsegg’s Regera. The car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, with a top speed of 264 km/h. Qoros claims a full charge allows the car to run for up to 500 km.

The interior of the car was not displayed at the launch but Qoros is planning for a seamlessly integrated cabin made mainly of carbon fibre. The exterior features some interesting elements, for example there is only a single gull wing door on the driver’s side and two doors on the passenger’s side.

A prototype can be expected later this year. For mass production, we will be waiting until at least 2019.
