Portable Ultra-Telephoto
Sony RX10 III

Due to the ever-growing popularity of smartphones, the market for large SLR cameras continues to shrink. However, for those of us who demand high-quality images, our desire will not be fulfilled by an iPhone 6+. However, with respect to the size, we are allowing ourselves replacing to our large DSLR cameras with more specialized and professional small digital cameras. In response to this downsizing trend, Sony’s RX series has just introduced their latest RX10 III. Supplied with a Zeiss 24mm to 600mm zoom lens the RX10 III making its operation range no different from an ordinary SLR.

Matched with a 20.1-megapixel sensor and an ultra-low dispersion ED lens, not only are the photo files free of noise, but the camera also delivers images that are consistently high contrast and sharp. Along with its ultra-telephoto ability, the lens has a very close focus distance of 3cm, with a focus lock of 0.09 seconds, making it comfortable for macro photography. To assist in providing greater zoom magnitude, the Sony has abandoned a constant aperture replacing it with a variable f/2.4-4.0 mm aperture setting. To help with low-light situations, the camera’s exposure sensitivity goes up to ISO 12800. Additional features include 14 frames per second continuous shooting, 960fps ultra-dramatic super slow motion shooting ability, and 1/3,200 high-speed shutter also makes it suitable for shooting sports. With support for 4K high-definition video, the RX10 III is the definition of an “all-in-one camera”.
