Devialet x Louis Vuitton DJ Trunk

Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy’s CEO Bernard Arnault, besides running a very successful luxury business, is well known for his passion for music. He was one of the key investors in Devialet’s innovative Phantom audio system, so it seems logical for Louis Vuitton to collaborate with Devialet in creating a travelling DJ trunk.

The DJ trunk is a modern rendition of a bespoke item ordered by conductor Leopold Stokowski in 1930. Once unfolded, the elegant trunk in Monogram Eclipse canvas turns into a DJ station with a folding leather-topped beechwood table. Inside the trunk there is a briefcase for carrying the turntable and a record bag for 20 vinyl records, both adorned in the signature monogram. A special version of the Gold Phantom with logos of both brands also sits nicely inside the trunk. The magical trunk is only available as a special order and will be first launched in Shanghai later this month.
