Pay Per View
Virgil Abloh’s solo exhibition at Kaikai Kiki Gallery in Tokyo

Following their co-created exhibition “Future History” at London’s Gagosian Gallery, the collaboration between Virgil Abloh, designer of American fashion brand Off-White and famed Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, continues with Abloh’s solo exhibition in Japan.

The “PAY PER VIEW” exhibition debuts at Murakami’s Kaikai Kiki Gallery in Tokyo. While “Future History” disrupted the divisions and tiers of stratified cultural production, the “Pay Per View” exhibition showcases artwork by Virgil Abloh revolving around how consumerism, advertising, and the media influence today’s society. Abloh aims to have his audience start viewing the world differently, using irony as a tool to comment on what he observes in daily life.

The exhibition runs from March 16 to April 1, 2018.
