It was born of patriotic pride when co-founders Ann and Andrew Payne sought to combine expert local craftsmanship with vintage fabrics after leading the creative teams of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Levi’s. Each tie proudly displays the declaration; “MADE IN THE U.S. of A.”
Their vintage fabrics are bold with eye-catching colours, such as the 1970s Japanese Obi fabric, 1920s Japanese and West African Indigo, 1960s quilt pattern fabric from South Carolina as well as 1930s plaid from Texas. After the skilled and talented craftsmen transform the cloth into a design, each piece bears their distinct manufacture number, so the owner clearly sees the total number of items, be it a necktie, bow tie or pocket square generated from the same fabric.
