Insta360 Nano

Since Facebook released their 360-degree panorama photo and video function last month, the specification has become increasingly popular among the public. Yet, adding professionally created content to this singular system is not only pricey, but also quite user unfriendly. The latest Insta360 Nano answers these challenges; as an “iPhone panoramic camera”, it only needs to be connected to the Lightning interface to start creating files. In addition to its panoramic ability, it can also stream footage online, and broadcast it live on Facebook.

The Insta360 Nano has two 210-degree fisheye lens on either side of its main body. With an aperture of f/2.0, it can create a seamless video with just a press of a button. At 30fps, video resolution is 3K (3,040 x 1, 520), with a built-in 800mAh battery capacity providing 70-minutes of continuous filming. The rectangular slim all-white body weighs less than 70 grams. With a thickness of only 21mm, the connected smartphone adds negligible weight during usage. The image files automatically transfer to the smartphone, enabling instant sharing without the needing a computer or software for after-editing. With Apple yet to produce any competing product for this technology, the Nano is indeed a good option. Also, the packaging of the camera resembles the VR glasses by Google Cardboard. This way, users can immediately check their panorama file. The Insta360 Nano comes in gray, black, gold, silver and pink. At the moment, the camera is only compatible with iPhone 6/6S, 6 Plus/ 6S Plus, but the manufacturer assures they will be launching Android supporting versions shortly. They are currently accepting orders on their official website.
