Galartis Montreux Grand Prix auction

Montreux Grand Prix is a historic motorsport festival happening now in Montreux Riviera, Switzerland, with two rallies, the famous Revival Montreux Caux race and an exhibition with over 120 exceptional cars. Apart from the exhilarating races, Swiss auction house Galartis is hosting a small scale auction at the same time.

The sale consists 49 lots, from renowned classic cars to something more peculiar, such as a table made of a jet engine and the engine of a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. The star of the sale could easily be the rare and beautiful 1959 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster with matching numbers parts. The body has been repainted in the original MB 172 anthracite and the car is in running condition. Other highlights include a 1934 Bentley Derby 3 1/2 litres by Salmons and Sons, an original 1999 Ferrari F355 Fiorano Edition and a 1961 Alfa Romeo 1300 Giulietta Sprint Special (SS) by Bertone. The lots are currently being exhibited in the garden inside Montreux Palace and the auction will take place in the Léman room of Montreux Palace on 16 September.
