Only During Full Moons
Swatch X Omega Mission to Moonshine Gold

Swatch has added another new timepiece to the famous Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch collection. The Mission to Moonshine Gold — based on the original Mission to the Moon and inspired by the Omega Speedmaster — has now been given a special pink tip on the gold seconds hand.

The Mission to Moonshine Gold is basically identical to the Mission to the Moon released in March 2022, except for the gold seconds hand, which uses the exclusive Omega Moonshine Gold yellow gold alloy first developed in 2019. It must be noted that the gold second hand is made just once a month during full moon dates. For the latest variant (SO33M102-105) shown here, it was produced during the pink full moon of April 2023, hence a pink Super-LumiNova detail is added to the tip of the hand. The watch even comes with a “Full Moon Production Certificate” stating when the hand was made.

Like the previously released Mission to Moonshine Gold (SO33M102-104), this pink variant was sold specifically during Swatch in-store events in selected cities during a full moon. Will it be available again in the June full moon, or will Swatch release another variant, given the full moon in May is nicknamed the “Flower Moon”? We’ll have to wait for the brand’s announcement on social media, which usually takes place just a few days before the launch.
