FCA launches “Reloaded by creators” retail service

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is taking the opportunity at Retromobile in Paris to launch an interesting and meaningful service for classic car lovers of Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo and Abarth models. FCA Heritage is in charge of the “Reloaded by Creators” program, which sees the department purchasing selected classic cars, restoring them to their original status and reselling them back to the market. The company says the programme is inspired by how art museums operate and the funds raised will be used to “finance new scouting activities to add important new pieces to FCA’s historic collection.”

So far five models have been completely restored and are ready for their next owners. The first is a 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider that has belonged to the company since its creation, used for technical tests. Then there is a 1981 Pininfarina Spidereuropa, the last embodiment of the Fiat 124 Sport Spider, and a 1959 Lancia Appia Coupé, again styled by Pininfarina with two-tone bodywork. Another classic, a 1973 Lancia Fulvia Coupé Monte Carlo, is a special edition developed to celebrate Lancia’s victory at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1972. Last but not least, the 1989 Alfa Romeo SZ was one of the first built, meaning that some of its finer details differ from the units subsequently produced. It was also used for various trials on the Balocco test circuit and photoshoots.

More about the program and its offerings can be found on the FCA Heritage website.
