Redarc Toyota Tacoma Truck

Australian electronics specialist Redarc has over 40 years of experience in supplying vehicles that range from RVs to industrial machines. To showcase its prowess in the off-roading arena, the company recently customised a current-gen N300 Toyota Tacoma truck.

The most obvious change has been the swap from a pickup tray to an aluminium flatbed and a canopy that hosts all the new Redarc gear. Inside, you’ll find a Redarc Manager30 battery management system paired with a 120Ah lithium battery pack, which is charged by a rooftop solar panel — though it can also run on AC power. The system provides electricity for the roll-out refrigerator, air compressor, lighting, plus a 2,000-watt pure sine wave inverter to convert power to 110-V AC for home gadgets and appliances.

The RedVision colour displays are found on the sides of the canopy, so information such as battery and water levels can be monitored and controlled easily, and are also accessible via smartphone. Redarc has also given the off-road camper 1.5-inches of extra ground clearance, a set of grippy Falken WildPeak AT3 265/75R16 tyres, a new front bumper and LEDs, a light bar, Warn winch, and plenty more goodies that ensure it’s as capable as it is homely out in the wilderness.
