Obsessed With Cold Tones
Jan Erik Waider

Documentaries and photography allows us to submerge ourselves in unknown places in the world that we may never have a chance to visit in our lifetime. This could possibly be the reason why the places or countries being documented always looks mysterious and attractive. Just like travel photographer Jan Erik Waider who specialises in photos of Nordic landscapes; we can see through his lens of icebergs that resemble stranded whales, blue but calm. We is very good in creating moody photos especially in his series of photos named ‘Remnants’. Last June, he has also visited a glacier in Norway named ‘Nigardsbreen’, capturing the beauty of nature in the album called ‘Memento Mori’. In the layers of different blue and black, though silently, they have fully demonstrated the power of nature.
