It is still unclear as to why Bentley has never considered entering into Formula 1 even during the early days of the race. Bentley produced the early sport racing Bentley 4½ Litre and Bentley Speed Six. As a car enthusiast, one can always hope and perhaps do a bit more in convincing the marque. For example, automotive designer Henky Saputro Aji has created a splendid livery on the imagined 2018 Bentley F1 challenger.

Inspired by the 2003 Le Mans winner car Bentley Speed 8, the livery on the Formula 1 race car shares the same dark green body, lines and sponsors’ logos. It certainly looks good enough to be put onto a model car, yet in reality, Formula 1 is not even on Bentley’s agenda according to chairman and CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer a couple of years ago. Now the brand is under the Volkswagen Group, chances for other premium brands in the group such as Volkswagen or Lamborghini to race in F1 are more likely than the luxury British automaker.
