New Urban Mobility
Sol Motors Pocket Rocket

A quick look at Sol Motors’ Pocket Rocket might not make you realise how powerful this little bike is. The body of the Pocket Rocket shapes like a missile and could reach a speed of up to 80 km/h. It is too fast and furious to be considered as an e-bike, but not quite up to the standard of being called a motorcycle. Sol Motors named it a “noped”, representing a new type of electric two-wheelers that best used for urban commuting.

Designed and engineered in Stuttgart and made in Germany, the bike is just 2.5-foot tall and the lightweight aluminium frame houses the headlight at the front, removable 220V battery in the middle and a red ring of taillight at the back. Pocket Rocket weighs just 55 kg and two versions are available: the 6-hp motor one is capable of 50 km/h and the more powerful 8.5-hp motor can go up to 80 km/h, and its range between 50-80 km depending on the version.
