New One-Make Championship
Aston Martin Vantage Cup by R-Motorsport

A new one-make championship will be launched at Aston Martin starting from 2020. Dubbed the Vantage Cup, the series is a collaboration with R-Motorsport, which has already partnered with the automaker in DTM and Blancpain GT Series.

The Vantage Cup will first be launched in Europe and in 2021 it will eventually expand to Asia. While the details of the series are yet to be announced, it is understood that up to 25 cars can take up the grid slots each series. The Cup car would be a high performance, race version of twin-turbo V8-powered road-going Vantage, each priced at around €250,000

“The launch of the Aston Martin Vantage Cup by R-Motorsport is certain to be a highlight next season,” R-Motorsport boss Florian Kamelger said in a press conference at the Nurburgring. “The vehicle being developed and produced by Team AF Racing will be a racing car that can hold its own at the highest level and will delight both our customers competing in the races as well as the fans at the racetracks.” Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer also believed the Cup will offer “interested customers the ideal opportunity with which to further their motor racing ambitions.”
