New Kid On The Track
Silvermine 11SR

The Netherlands is not a regular location for big-brand automakers, but in the past few years the Dutch company Silvermine has been developing a track-only racer, and has just finalised the details of the production version.

Simply named Silvermine 11SR (which stands for sport racer), each unit will be completely hand built, and take six to nine months to finish. The retro-looking car has a lightweight carbon-fibre body, while the chassis is made of aluminium and Nomex honeycomb. It has an adjustable suspension, racing shock absorbers and a quick-release steering wheel, not to mention racing-derived brakes and 17-inch centre-locking wheels. Inside lies the 3.0-litre six-cylinder inline engine that generates 325hp, paired with a sequential six-speed gearbox.

This stunning track toy will be launched on June 29 at the Concours d’Élégance Apeldoorn. Only five examples will be available for built-to-order, starting from €250,000.
