Nature meets electricity
Avionics V1 electric bicycle

When vehicles were put into mass production over 100 years ago, engineers back then opted for using petrol as a power source, but electric vehicles had actually already been invented, first surfacing in the late 19th Century. Avionics has created an electric bicycle that fuses aesthetics from more than 100 years ago and the latest technology.

The team behind Avionics is inspired by nature, thus their V1 e-bike is mainly made of metal, wood and leather. Many parts of the bike such as the saddle, lamp and handle bars with massive horns are all made of the exotic tree Jatoba, which is as strong as steel.

Avionics V1 is fitted with a 5,000 watt brushless electric motor powered by a 24.0 Ah lithium-ion battery with a maximum range of 120 km in street mode. The bike can reach a top speed of 58 km/h. Each bike will be handmade and pre-order will start in September this year.
