Most Unexpected Drag Car
1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow drag car

We have seen plenty of drag cars, but none as surprising and unique as this converted 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. For a start, it is a rare choice to pick something as luxurious as a Rolls-Royce for the purpose of drag racing. At the same time, the creator of the car retained a certain level of comfort and luxury.

A gigantic 7.0-litre GM V8 engine with 14-71 supercharger sticks out of the hood, forming an odd juxtaposition with the Spirit of Ecstasy ornament in front of it. No performance figure has been disclosed though.

The sedan now features a tube-frame drag chassis. The interior has the necessary roll cage, but at the same it has a holder for keeping a bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes for the winning moment. The car can still accommodate 3 passengers and the driver, while all seats and part of the cabin are wrapped in custom leather. This special model is currently on sale for around USD 115,000 as listed on trading platform Finn from Norway.
