More Than The Classic Grey
New Balance M992

New Balance sneakers have long been associated with retro styling and that classic shade of grey. The recent reissue of the New Balance Made in US 992 continues the brand’s ethos of “Made Without Compromise” and brings us four fascinating colourways in addition to the original grey palette.

Steve Jobs is always going to be one of the first names that comes up when talking about 992. The model was introduced in 2006 to celebrate New Balance’s 100th anniversary and was never reissued after its first year of release, yet the chunky shoes were often seen on the feet of the late Apple magnate. Perhaps the combination of comfortability powered by the Abzorb SBS cushioning technology, along with the multi-layered style, was the key to getting the 992 on the stage of many Apple product launches.

Now New Balance is bringing back the Made in US 992 for the first time in 14 years. The reissue M992 remains true to the original silhouette, but is upgraded with ENCAP and ABZORB dual midsole technology for extra support and comfort. Aside from the timeless grey, new colourways include the appealing M992TN in white and tan combo, a lighter palette of grey for the M992NC, a bright, retro multi-shade on the M992MC and a summery M992NT with pink details and seersucker fabric. All priced at HK$1,899, the M992TN range is now available on New Balance HK’s official online store while other styles will drop on 14th May.
