The Goodwood Revival is a hard concept to explain to someone who has never been, simply because there’s nothing else quite like it anywhere in the world. This event is so much more than a motor racing meet, and as anyone who has been can and will tell you, it’s as much about ‘people watching’ as it is classic motorsport. After Saturday’s miserable weather put a real damper on attendees ability to show off their elaborate and well-executed looks, Sunday had no such problems; the perfect weather brought out the fashionable, the committed and the eccentric in equally large numbers.

The average person doesn’t simply attend The Revival as an observer; they attend as a participant and it’s this key difference from all other motoring events that makes this late summer weekend at the track so fascinating.
