Mercedes-Maybach ECHO Concept by Hawan Park

When the luxurious Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept debuted at Pebble Beach last year, it shared a glimpse of the automaker’s views on the near future of the electric coupe. Now Korean designer Hawan Park has taken the concept further, coming up with an autonomous Mercedes-Maybach that targets classical concert-goers. He has named it the “Mercedes-Maybach ECHO Concept” and envisions it for 2030.

The vehicle is fitted with a wooden core and interior for its special acoustic properties in dispersing sound. Park referenced different wooden instruments, the wooden interior design of concert halls and even the conch shell in developing the acoustic features of his concept.

The car is just 1.38 meter high, with part of the body made with translucent metal for augmented reality display. The futuristic silhouette is supported by gull-wing doors and flexible seat suspension for extra comfort.
