Mecca For Mechanical Art Devices
MB&F M.A.D.Gallery in Hong Kong

MB&F has opened M.A.D.Gallery in Hong Kong, following openings in Geneva, Taipei and Dubai. Maximilian Büsser, founder of MB&F, describes the project as a shelter for his favourite mechanical devices all in one place for his appreciation – and a childhood dream come true.

M.A.D. – an abbreviation for Mechanical Art Devices as well as its obvious tongue-in-cheek acronym, showcases Horological and Legacy Machines by MB&F alongside mechanical art devices created by friends and associates of Büsser. Located in Ocean Terminal inside Harbour City, one of the Hong Kong’s busiest shopping strips, the M.A.D.Gallery Hong Kong boutique features a simple interior motif with white brick walls, offering a pleasant atmosphere for visitors to immerse themselves in the haywire world of mechanical art devices. Naturally, as with all galleries – exhibitions and items are scheduled to be updated regularly. Currently on display are MB&F machines The Fifth Element, Octopod, Destination Moon, Music Machine 2, as well as Apesanteur IV by French artist Quentin Carnaille, the handcrafted Machine Lights lamp collection by German sculptor Frank Buchwald and exclusive art pieces featuring Japanese manga robot Grendizer standing in Hong Kong by Swiss artist Marc Ninghetto.
